Doug and Susan are very compassionate and knowledgable real estate agents. They worked with us to get more than the asking price for our house, even though the market was slowing down. We received an offer on the evening of the first day, as well as a blind counter offer. Doug worked until 11:30 pm that evening accepting a conditional sale (financing), higher than the original selling price. Prior to the sale, when we contracted them, the house was not in show-ready shape. They sent a complimentary "stager" to give advice on the parts of the house that would need improvements. Ideas about rearranging furniture,clearing and outside work to appeal to the type of clients who would be interested in my older, "1972" neighbourhood . It took a good month to get the house ready but so worth it in the end, having pride in the work accomplished. They sent an amazing photographer to capture the essence of our home and property, he even took photos of the pathway behind our house and took photos on Nose Hill park which was in walking distance to our house. Outstanding photos! We did need to continue to show the house for an additional few weeks because of the "conditional sale".t They always gave us plenty of notice and we were able to say no to showing if we were too busy. There were no additional offers.In the end, the conditions were dropped and we sold to the first offer. We received a lovely and generous gift basket after the sale. I highly recommend Doug, Susan and their team to buy or sell your home. I had many conversations about ethical selling/buying and know that they will always put their clients first. They are truly wonderful human beings and fine agents!
